This panel is designed around the selection of specific male performance related biomarkers.

While serum testosterone levels in isolation cannot be "optimized" to a specific target without a broader clinical context (due to individual variability in androgen receptor density and sensitivity), when evaluated *within* the context of a clinical consultation, they are much more useful metrics.

These biomarkers have been selected as follows:

* [Total testosterone.](/biomarker-panels/male-performance-panel/total-testosterone.md)
* [Free testosterone.](/biomarker-panels/male-performance-panel/free-testosterone.md)
* [Sex-Hormone Binding Globulin.](/biomarker-panels/male-performance-panel/sex-hormone-binding-globulin.md)
* [Plasma Zinc.](/biomarker-panels/male-performance-panel/plasma-zinc.md)
* [Serum Magnesium.](/biomarker-panels/male-performance-panel/serum-magnesium.md)
